Today we arrived back in Venice and disembarked the Vision of the Seas. Getting to the hotel in Mestre was very easy. The ship arrived in port at 7 AM, which was before the other ships (MSC x 2, NCL Jade, etc.) So there wasn't much of a queue for public transport.

After dropping luggage at the hotel in Mestre we made it back to Venice and took the water bus to Murano and visited the glass museum. Took the water bus for another 25 minutes to Burano and visited the lace museum. Burano had a Caribbean feel to it with vibrant house colors. Unfortunately only half the houses appear to be taken care of (the others are 'rustic')

Took the water bus to San Marco and took some pictures of the MSC ships and the Vision of the Seas departing Venice.

We took advantage of the late opening hours of Palazzo Ducale. This is a must visit museum for anyone who goes to Venice.
