Another beautiful day in Japan :) Today I decided to go to Osaka and see the Osaka Castle.

One of the turrets around the castle.

It looks like a swamp animal in the moat.

The Osaka Castle

The well in front of the castle.

The view from the top of the castle

I wasn't that impressed by the museum. I was expecting it to be similar to the European ones with old furniture and looking like a castle on the inside. But in the infinite wisdom of the Japanese they put a modern museum inside.
I decided to cool down and try some of the Japanese shaved ice.... not really worth it either. just a bunch of hard ice pieces. Hawaiian shaved ice is much better.

I thought it was interesting that they had lines for the different trains

'Mildly Air-Conditioned Car'..... cute

Rice paddies visible from the train.

Since it was a short day I tried to see the imperial palace in Kyoto, but was 7 minutes too late.

Since I wasn't able to visit the imperial palace I took the metro to Higashihonganji Temple which was near the Kyoto station and the hotel.

An interesting art deco building...

Another interesting micro car.

Another failed attempt to find sushi - this time around the Nishiki Market

So... yes, another Ramen place.
