Early start today.
0700 flight to Amsterdam.
I checked out of the hotel, paid for the parking, drove to a petrol station, filled the rental car with diesel and drove back to the airport. I had no problem finding the rental car return, I think. I left the car in the parking lot with a bunch of others and a security guard present. The Munich airport was a bit more confusing, I eventually found my check in desk, in area F. I arrived before 0500 and the airport didn't have the check in open until 0500. To add insult to injury the security checkpoint didn't open until 0530. I could have easily gotten another 30 minutes of sleep. At least I didn't have "SSSS" on my boarding pass.
I sat in the lounge for about an hour before boarding the flight.
The first flight was pretty uneventful. I did see a beautiful sunrise.... only visible above the blanket of clouds covering Amsterdam.
I did explore the new KLM lounge in Amsterdam.
I slept most of my second flight. I didn't even bother trying to eat KLM's concoctions for lunch.
