Departure from Florence

I had an early morning flight (06:20) which required leaving at the hotel at 04:30.

It was a short taxi ride, however at the cab driver claimed he couldn't take a credit card. I walked into the airport only to find the ATM machines non-functioning. The cab driver pulled out his credit card machine and charged it. It came back to life and I was able to use my credit card.

I went to check in at the Air France check in and they gave me issues with my hand baggage. They only allow 18kg of hand baggage. Luckily my dry bags were large enough to fit my laptop. I checked my laptop bag without any valuables (laptops, GPS, mobile phones, etc.) It was inconvenient, however I managed to keep all the valuables with me. I had no issues flying economy on British Airways or South African Airways with this hand luggage, but yet Air France had an issue even though I was flying in business class.

When I got to Paris I went through passport control which gave me only a partial stamp.

The seats on this flight are the same as the flight from Johannesburg. Not the greatest, but not the worst either.
