This morning we packed, had a small breakfast and left the ship around 8:00 AM. I stored my luggage at a friend's hotel and then went to the Rijiksmuseum.

The museum is large and we left around 1:00 PM.

I rushed back to the hotel to get the tram (12) to the train station to get the bus to Brussels. The bus was only 16€ and is not much slower than the train. The train was a lot more money. The bus is nice and even has Wi-Fi and USB charging outlets. The bus is called Flixbus.

My hotel is as close to Brussels North station as it can get without being attached to it. It was a short walk from where the bus stopped. The hotel was advertised as 3 stars, but to our standards in America it was more like 2.

I walked to the Grand Place as it was still daylight. It's a wonderful square that used to have guild houses. The only guild house remaining is the brewery guild. Apparently the French destroyed everything and that is why all the buildings were built in the 1690's.

I also walked over to the fountain of the boy pissing...
