This morning we stopped at the town named Shibaozhai which has a red pagoda. The entire town was demolished and a new town was built at a higher elevation due to the higher river levels because of the dam. A wall was built around the pagoda to prevent it from being destroyed by the river. It was built without any nails and was built to give access to the top of the mountain to be able to pray. On the top of the mountain there is a temple. Inside the pagoda there are 99 steps. Some of the group were scared off by the tour guide telling them it was 99 steps and one direction, however it was an easy climb and each floor had a place to stop and rest.

Below picture is of the red pagoda.

Below pictures are of the suspension bridge that gives access to the red pagoda.

Below pictures are of a dragon on top of one of the temples.

In the afternoon the cruise continued on it's way to Fengdu which is before the scheduled arrival in Chongqing, but apparently the water level is too low to continue. We will take a bus to Chongqing tomorrow morning to see the Pandas.
