China Trip - Post 10 - Day 7 of Tour: Yangtze River and 3 Gorges Dam

The stop in the morning was at a scenic spot called the water village. We took a nice walk along the river and into a gorge to a beautiful waterfall. We also saw a few macau monkeys with babies.

During lunch the ship moved to a location near the 3 Gorges Dam. We went to a few overlook areas where we could see the bridge, dam and the locks.

After dinner the ship entered the locks. The ship was so small that 3 other ships (cargo) went into the locks with us. Each lock takes about 40 minutes, so the entire process takes 3 hours (5 sets of locks)
